Weekend in Vancouver B.C...1st stop AquaBus to Granville Island

My trip to Vancouver B.C. from Seattle (actually Edmonds, WA) started with a short and easy 3.5 hr Amtrak ride straight north. So easy and inexpensive to travel north of the border. Spending 3 days in Vancouver is a small vacation where a lifetime of activites exist here, I possibly may move here for a year or two in a couple of years. This is my kind of town! Instead of trying to providing a lump sum of photos and info on the weekend, I will break it down a bit from locations and the way I wandered around the area. So lets get started!
                                                           Amtrak to Granville Island...
A little artwork at Creekside Park before jumping on the Aquabus.

Vancouver Science World.

From False Creek, Downtown Vancouver and the soon to be completed B.C. Place Stadium

I wouldn't mind cruising the Aquabus more often!

Cruising False Creek and enjoying the views.

Docking at Stamps Landing.

Stamps Landing with B.C. Place Stadium in the background.

Davie St. stop.

Burrand Bridge with a framed view of Vancouver Island.

A cute couple with a nice view!

Great day for a walk on Granville Island with Granville Bridge above.

Granville Island Ferry Dock, Burrand Bridge and downtown Vancouver!

Looking to my next destination, Sunset Beach.

Beautiful flowers at the Granville Island Market.

Inside the Granville Island Market...Nothing like a litte Blood and Tongue Sausage!

Underneath the Granville Bridge

Always cool watching how the glass process works. Small glass studio along Granville St.

So much great food here.

This was great to watch while eating! His Mom went and got a few more bags of food.

Hoping for a meal from me.

Good-bye Aquabus! Thanks for the ride.

  1. Great travel writing. I was just there for a conference, but your photos really give it a nice patina. Vancouver BC is really awesome!
